2016 2500hd 20” to 17”

Hey guys. I have a stock 2016 2500 with 20” wheels. I have a set of work truck style 17”wheels with center caps i want to use for the winter. What size 17” tire would be the most comparable to keep me at the same overall size. Most 17’s I see on these trucks are 265 70 17. Would a 265 75 17 be about the same size as a 265 60 20? I guess a better question would be what’s the biggest 17 I can fit on stock truck

The 20's are a 32.5in tire and the stock 17's are a 31.5in tire.

 

If they make a 265/75, those would match the 20's for overall size. Or you can bump up the width to a 285/70/17 for roughly the same 32.5in tire size.

 

Going bigger without a leveling kit is likely to cause rubbing.
