I have to hold the wheel a degree or two to the left in order to drive down the road straight. I am headed into the dealer tomorrow to have the alignment checked. Wish me luck! I just got my 2021 Chevrolet 2500 4 days ago. I noticed it slightly pulling to the right. At first I thought it was me or the crown of the road "pushing" it to the right but, on a flat road or if I move to the other side of the road it still pulls to the right. I'm going to take it in in the next day or two to get it checked/re-aligned.
WooHydro Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 Have a 2020 2500 with a service body. It pulls to the left, i have to hold the steering wheel at 1-2 oclock to keep it going straight. It will take the truck up over the crown of the road and into oncoming traffic. The first alignment was done at 1500 miles and everything was in spec. Local dealership billed me for the alignment even though the truck still pulled. They tried to claim that the wear in the road was causing it. If i wanted them to keep looking into it i would have to pay for the parts replaced. They clearly dont know how to diagnose an issue. Took it to them to have the first service done, at my request, they moved the tires from side to side not front to rear. The truck would still pull to the left. Took the truck to a different dealership at 5300 miles. A friend works at this shop but they dont have an alignment rack. He test drove it and saw exactly what i was talking about. Checked the rotor temps and they were all within 5 degrees of each other, indicating that the calipers are no dragging. Put the truck in the air, all the tires turned freely. He said to take it down to the chevy dealership down the street. It had its second alignment. Once again, everything was right where it is supposed to be. GM tech support is now involved. They are recommending the steering angle sensor be recalibrated.
MTU Alum Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 Did anybody swap tire from driver's side to passengers side? That is the first step they are supposed to do. #iworkforGM
bowtie2007 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 The tires on mine make a noticeable difference. After my first rotation, the truck was constantly pulling left as described. After the following rotation where the front tires were returned, it was centered again. I have rotated the tires 3 times and each time i bring the rear tires to the front, it pulls. finn5033 Posted June 8, 2021 Posted June 8, 2021 Just picked up my new 2021 3500 gasser yesterday. Drove it 5-1/2 hours home and noticed it definitely pulls to the right. Had to hold the wheel a couple degrees to the left to go straight. My issue is I had the dealer put different tires on it for me before I picked it up. I stuck with the factory size but went from the Michelin LTX at2’s that came stock to the BFG K02. I emailed the dealer right away this morning to ask if anyone drove the truck after putting the tires on, he said he would check. I told him I was concerned that if I brought it in to have it checked they wouldn’t cover anything because of the different tires. He told me to go ahead and get it checked and if there was a charge they would cover it. So I guess I’ll be dropping mine off too.

Mine had significant steering issues that were all corrected with a proper alignment.
kylant Posted June 12, 2021 Posted June 12, 2021 check the alignment. also, I noticed my truck started a decent pull right as soon as I put the BFG KO2s on it. granted they are 20mm wider, so the contact patch is bigger. I am really starting to think these tires have a radial pull to them

Mine had significant steering issues that were all corrected with a proper alignment. So the first dealer I brought it to mentioned nothing about the tires so that’s good. However they drove it and tried to tell me it was normal. They checked all the suspension parts to make sure everything was tight but didn’t check the alignment. So I brought it to a different dealer on Friday and they could tell it was just driving it out of the entrance bay into the service bay. So they reset the alignment with the steering wheel straight. Unfortunately whoever did it over corrected it so now the wheel is off the other way. So it’s going back in on Tuesday

Not sure if these trucks are tough to align, by my dealer did the same thing initially, then tried again and made it worse. They paid to have it done at an outside alignment shop and finally got it right!

Steering wheel is straight and truck is tracking the way it should.
