Rear splash guards

Any one have trouble installing the oem rear splash guards. The lower hardware ends up being too short and the side fender holes do not catch the edge of the fender to drill through.

My guess.

Either the wrong part or wrong install.

Do you have any feedback on how well they work over the stock ones?

What is the # on the box?  Molded ones or the flat ones?  They did change the number for the rear set, so there might have been a running change to solve the issue.

I can say that the dealer installed GM guards  on my 19 Trail Boss stop tire dressing sling surprisingly well so I'm guessing it will do very well with stones and the like.
