Need brakes recommendation 2015 sierra

Time to swap brakes, I have terrible rotor shake at 45k miles.

Want to swap all 4 rotors and pads to whatever is best these days.  Have used hawk, ebc, factory gm, dba in the past.   Mostly city/highway mix driving with mountains.  Only rare lightweight trailer.   Any specific recommendations?

I'm sure if you did some searching you will find tons of various opinions and real world experience.

Clearly anything is going to be better than what you have now.

New AC delco parts are always a good choice. I've never had a problem with the napa premium or ultra premium coated rotors. I've also used powerstop rotors/pads too.

To me part of it comes down to how the rest of the brake system is working for how long the parts should last. A sticking caliper or slide pins can put more wear on a rotor and cause an issue even when someone spent $250 or more on good quality parts.

I have installed PowerStop coated rotors, calipers and premium pads two months ago and thus far really pleased with their performance.

I have done the police package rotors and pads on 2 K2 trucks and loved the way they performed. They're a smidge more expensive than just going for direct replacement of what's there, but if you do a lot of highway driving and off-ramp braking, they really resist warping in wet conditions.

I don't know if it's the same now or not, but for my 2014 Silverado, the specified AC Delco pad for it had beveled cuts at the end of each pad, reducing the contact patch with the rotor about 30%. The same year Tahoe and Suburban pads did not have the beveled cuts, and they fit in the caliper all the same. So I used the SUV pads with the police rotors, and that worked great. After all, the calipers between Silverado/Sierra 1500 and the SUVs are the same.

Now, you can buy the Police Package Rotors and pads as a bundle. They work great, but they throw a lot of dust.

So my ultimate recommendation after all my rambling is:

AC Delco Police rotors
AC Delco Suburban/Tahoe pads of their premium line.

Great info skippydog thanks.  Do you happen to know the differences in thickness with the police package rotors?

I installed police package calipers in my 2004 sierra denali, they were great.

If anyone happens to have part numbers for those please let me know.

Deciding between the brembo https://www.brembostoreusa.com/products?car=48-1220-2015-3245 pieces or the acdelco.

Hawks and EBC were good in the past, but they are triple the cost of the brembo and I don't think the rotors were any better.

I’m in the same predicament with my rotors and like you mine started going at 45k.  Went with the Delco police rotors and pads as well.  Still waiting on the last rotor to come in (thanks to the GM strike) but excited to see how well they perform.
What surprises me is how the factory rotors were shot so quickly.  I’m not an aggressive driver and don’t tow or haul often.  Not used to needing replacements so soon.  Hope to get at least 100k from this set.

S I definitely will try these police packages on my 2015 sierra slt which the transmission went out on at 127k. My front brakes have been redone with new rotors at 30k miles like clockwork. The back were done at 90k. The first two times at 30k and 60k gm paid for them. I ussually run 150k to 200k on gm brakes. GM changed my ac compressor at 50k miles. Having said that I LOVE MY BLACK GMC 2015 SIERRA SLT. I can run Americas freeways at a comfortable high rate of speed.
