Never heard of that, but wear your seat belt and no problems haha. Might be a setting?

Welcome to this forum!  Either my truck doesn't have this feature or I must not think about wearing a seatbelt.  There are threads on this forum about defeating the warning chime which I suspect would do the same thing for your issue.  Maybe explaining why you'd need to disable this feature would prompt other ways members deal with a similar problem.

Is this perhaps a feature of the new T1 trucks and you posted in the wrong forum? I would honestly light my truck on fire and buy a Ford if GM did that to me. One of the features I love about Chevy is that it only chimes twice at you then it gives up and lets you not where your belt. Ford and Dodge will relentlessly ding at you until you buckle up. It is common here to not wear your belt while out hunting on the backroads, or crossing the ice in winter. My brother when to a wrecking yard and cut out a couple of buckles for his F150 for hunting season. You could probably do the same if there is no setting you can change.

What truck do you have, we need to know year, model, trim level.

He might be talking about a T1, we all know that new people on forums dont always put the question in the right area
