mdcowboy63 Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 I have a 1998 gmc 1500 with the 5.7 . Pump has 64 psi pressure and the fuel relay is working. The vehicle acts like it is not getting enough fuel and will not start..I have replaced the coil, dist cap. ignition control module, rotor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, crankshaft position sensor as it was bad as well as the cam sensor . it tries to start but that's it.
riverbanks Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 Try disconnecting the MAF electric connection then try, sometimes they cause a no start
CamGTP Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 If you have a spare key or a valet key, try those as well to see if you can rule of a security issue.
sefiroxx Posted November 28, 2019 Posted November 28, 2019 Air, fuel, spark.Spark, check each plug wire for sparkFuel, probably too much pressure that could flooding. Attach pressure guage and monitor.Air, use scanner and verify air pressure readings. Clean maf with and cleaner. Disconnect intake and verify throttle operation. Check tps reading when manually operating throttle.
