Today I installed the driver side swingcase for basic needs. Jumper cables etc

Did the entire installation then I went to swing it shut and it bounced back

it will not latch at all. I checked all instructions but there is no fix.

Seems the latch bracket is not long enough

should be another half inch longer take a look at the photo

anyone run into this ?

there is no adjustment for left to right only up and down

I didn’t have that issue with mine. I have both the Drivers and Passengers ones installed. I’ll snap some pictures tomorrow and you can compare.

Thanks

if that bracket was a half or qtr inch more to the left it would close correctly

ive tried all adjustments nothing works it’s just too short on the latching bracket. I already wrote an email to them.

I think the latch (part on bracket) needs to be reversed.  I have the same setup on mine and without looking I believe my latch was facing towards the tailgate

My latch Is plastic not like the above metal latch. Problem is my bracket and latch are made as one unit not like above where the bracket has the latch bolted to it. That’s why you guys have clearance. Mine needs to me about another .25 inch over more

Why not go straight to Undercover?

Bummer they changed it too plastic. I’m glad I bought mine before the change. I think the all metal latch will hold up better.

Bought from Realtruck.com they have to call undercover then issue a replacement.

Here is why it does not work. Garbage plastic latch and bracket all in one

you can see in the second pic on why it’s short and does not latch

Can you not just drill 2 more holes and bolt it where you need it?

For a brand new product right out of the box ?
don’t think so

plus not everyone has a metal fab shop in their garage lol

I mean I hear you... I would be pissed about it as well. But if everything else about the product is what you want. Then I would rather drill 2 holes than deal with packaging it all up and shipping it back ...

All you need is a drill and a drill bit. My mom even has that lol...

I would email them and request money back for having to redesign their so called "bolt in" product

Damn my wife is getting me a set of these for Christmas. This has me rethinking me wanting them
