Rattling Noise Help

Recommended Posts

I know this is a tough question since you're not here to hear the noise.  But here goes.  I have a 2014 tahoe with 100k.  Around 30-40mph, under light throttle I get a rattling noise consistent with a worn u-joint.  No Vibrations in the steering wheel or car itself.  No change in 2wd or 4wd.  My front and rear drive shafts are tight, and so are my CV axles.  I'm not one to bring my cars to a shop, but threw in the towel and brought it to a local guy.  He could hear the noise but couldn't find anything.  He even put it on a lift and ran the car and couldn't see anything.  After using the google I do see a lot of guys had issues with the pump inside the T-case wearing the housing away and not seating tight.  But everything I found was the older T-cases previous to 2005.  Anyone know if the newer T-cases suffer the same problem?  Or any other common driveline problems in 2014?
