I'm guessing that is why its so hard to find. There is a limit to how much pressure should be in the crank case. If that spec is exceeded then you can have oil leaks. This is maintained by the pcv valve. This particular pcv valve is a part of the valve cover and I don't want to change it unless there is a good reason.

Yes, if you can lean over the engine enough, or have an inspection camera, or you might be able to use a cell phone camera to take a video or picture, you should be able to see if the orifice is plugged (which isn't likely).  You would be able to use a small screwdriver to unplug it if it is, as it's just a small hole about 3/16" in diameter.  It's not like the old rattle-can style.
