Will be getting a new set of BFG AT TA ko's on Saturday. White letters showing or not? I have them not showing now and am debating on whether to switch. Is it gay?

Well here are some shots of my truck with the white letters out. I had the white letters in on the last set of tires. I think I like them better out.

White letters out went out with the 70's...............Just my $.02!

When I went to pick up my truck from discount tire the last time i put tires on it, the white letters were out. I said no problem, I will wait while you change them. Boy were they pissed.

If you look at off road tires like super swampers...most don't even have white letters.

Just put BFG on the wifes Yukon and she wanted white letters out.....she was out voted

Just put Bridgestone Revo's on my 95, white outline letters out. Looks great, I'm happy, wifes happy, daughters happy, neighbor kids and my boys say they look cool, homecooked meal on the table, no questions about how much I spent.....hmmmm. Good thing the black lettering on these tires doesn't look very good.

White letters out!!! :D It just looks cool!!! :puke: Unless you buy these tires I saw at this discount tire store that said in white lettering "WIDE BRUTE" If you get these put the white lettering in cuz it's gay!!!!!!! :puke:

You have the coolest Avalanche I have ever seen! And thats coming from a guy that has hated them from the first day I saw one. Yours is too sweet. Love the mods youve done. Looks awesome. Good job!!!!!!!!!! :nono:

The only reason I would put the white letters in would be if I was buying a "generic" tire. If you are buying the BFG's then you should show them off!!!

Thanks Matt,

Makes those monthly bills a little easier to pay hearing what I have done turns heads. I have some more things in the works so keep an eye out and I will post some pics.

My OEM Bridgestone Duelers have the white out - I think they look pretty good. Something else to clean though. My .02 worth. :nono::rolleyes:

Yesterday I just shelled out big dollar for a new set of 265 70 17's to slap on my new 04 Z71 17 inchers, and then put them on my 03 silverado, I got the BFG ko's, actually really like the way this tire looks compared with my old 245's, and of course I went with the BLACK OUT!! White letters are completly gay imho, the others responding are either not in California or just plain :jester: Of course I am only teasing, but I didnt even have to think about it, the black looks way better, matches the black trim pieces onthe truck, easier to keep looking new I think, the white letters fade after some time and start to look like crap. I think I might try and post some pics later with my new wheels on. Do what you want, but like someone else said, that s**t went out in the last century man!! :seeya:

White letters went out of style in the 80's, not the 70's! :seeya: Just kidding, do what you want. In my opinion, black letter look better. The only thing white letters look OK on is an off-road style truck or an old muscle car. And then only if you get a major name brand like BFG, Goodyear, Bridgestone, etc. Never, ever put the white letters out on a set of el cheapo Pep Boys specials. :jester:
