Tailgate LED light Bar Install

Any one install a Putco Blade or OPT7 60" Tailgate light bar on a 2019 Silverado 1500 RST ? I was looking at the space in between the bumper and tailgate bottom which doesn't look to wide enough with that lip the bumper cover has.

on my 2015 I mounted it to that lip - great light output , my 2019 mount between tailgate and bumper - light output is OK . If I did it over I mount it to thee lip . Hope this help .

Mounting on the lip doesn't interfere with tailgate operation and which bar did you install on the 2019

I went with Putco  Blade

I installed a Putco blade 60" in the space between the bumper and tailgate and didn't like how much it restricted the viewing angles of it.  I ended up taking it out of there and mounting it to the plastic lip on the bumper and am really happy with it now.

Does it adhere to the plastic pretty good?  Also how did you wire yours up?  Do you have a pic?  Thanks!

First of all, my truck is a 2018 so some stuff may vary. 

I wiped it down with 90% rubbing alcohol and used some 3M double sided foam tape the entire length of the light bar to stick it to the plastic.  It's is stuck very well and I don't see it coming off any time soon.

I cut the 4 pin plug off the Putco bar and soldered in the 5-pin connector I purchased to pick up the reverse wire.  It makes for a much cleaner install and I could return it to stock in about 5 minutes if I need to.

Here's my Putco............wired it with the Curt harness but the truck didn't like it, kept getting some kind of trailer fault..... so I bought the harness that Putco sells and it works perfectly.

Could you possibly get a photo up close to the lip/bottom of tailgate ?
