NSB-AGM94R/L4 ?

Oh I see add secondary grounds for the stuff... will that cause any issues with the ground sensor not seeing everything? (Sorry I've just heard of something with the ground, not sure what it exactly does)

Play sit with a bigger wire so like say for instance the wire is like what the 4-gauge you want to step up in size 2 like a 0 gauge or 1/0 which Will be good enough for your needs.

Apologies, not quite following... Replace the factory ground with larger wire? (If so, what do i do about the ground sensor?) or use a larger ground wire to the frame from my high draw devices?

No worries. There are two grounds coming from the battery. One coming from the battery going to the body / cab. The other going from the battery to the frame. The one going to the frame is what you need to upgrade. You will need a new negative battery connector at the battery to achieve this as the factory one will not be usable any longer as it is not reusable.
You can use the same ground that is going to the cab from the battery if you'd like or by not afraid that as well maybe to something a little bit thicker.

Also does that factory tray thing that sits on the factory battery fit the northstar?

The factory distribution block that sits on top of the battery should fit any group 48 battery. They all should be at the same Dimension and battery terminal location. In my situation I'm going to go big and get to 94r more cranking amps more reserve and just all-around more large

Oh I see the NSB-AGM94R/L4  is a larger battery, will fit the tray but I'll have to do some sort of replacement of the factory distro block on top, but other than that it fits and no other mods needed?

If I wanted a true drop in, NSB-AGM48/L3? the distro box will drop on that.

Smart move man[emoji106] if you're not afraid to mod figure out how to fit the group 31 in there.. that one is the Beast of all batteries. But the terminals are screw-type so there's a bit more work that needs to be done.. I'll take the group 31 XS battery and try to fit it in the factory location and see what would be needed to make it work with the factory distribution block if you're interested. I plan on replacing the start battery with a 94 and/ if my financial advisor approves I'll get group 31, but a Northstar

Im all about more info, ppl on here might like a write up, not much info collected it seems on battery stuff. (Or Dual Battery clear info) its vague and frustrating to sort out (for me anyhow).

Honestly I think it's not going to fit LOL. It's like 87 to 90 lb of battery just a big block. I'm sure I might run into some issues with fitment in the battery tray area along with the brace that goes across the top. I'll see what it takes. Can't say I'm going to make modifications to put it under the hood because XS batteries are known for having under the hood heat issues. So that's why I'm going with a Northstar

When you get that 94r or 48 whatever you decide make note of how low your battery voltage drops compared to your current battery. I'll be interested to see if it ever drops below 14 volts.

Measured the group 31 for fitment in the factory batt location. It won't fit without: cutting the two battery hold down tabs on the side closest to the fender, removing the cowl as it won't slide in due to being too wide, fashioning a battery hold down clam like the old style that came across the top and bolted to the battery tray and of course new lug style battery terminals that will fit a bolt style battery. Its not too bad of a job actually

Just bought a 94r, like 40min ago.

BatteryPlus has a 20% coupon right now. Brings the price to $266.51.
