Bed Light Operation question

.....can't seem to figure out what will make bed lites work consistently....have had them on few times by sheer luck.......2019 LT1 Silverado Crew....thanks for any guidance..

I thought they worked with the bed light switch.  I'll go out and check...

yep,  at least in my sierra,  just turn on the switch

That is how the K2's work too.

 

They do not work with the vehicle in gear, only in park unless you modify them.

I believe they work in reverse (& neutral) in addition to Park.

Check your owners manual, they are tied to you cargo lamp (the lights in the third brake light housing) and should not work while moving (out of park).

I was able to test this out and can confirm the bed lights (both in the roof spoiler and in the rear of the bed) light up (assuming the button is on) while the truck is in park, reverse, or neutral.
