I had the dealer when I bought the truck switch them out. Not sure what brand they are but I really like them.

Can you take a straight on side shot. Been thinking about removing the 4x4. Maybe the tail gate. Thanks.

I’ve had the truck one week today.

Base model duramax crew cab 4wd SB.

So far I’ve done:

Debadge, other than GMC on rear (replaced with vinyl) and front of course

Chrome delete (Vinyl Wrap)

Tint: 15% on sides & rear, 45% on windshield).

Smoked mirror lights, side markers, and third brake light

Wheels and level go on next week - 20” fuel rebels wrapped in nittos.

Handles and side / bumper steps color-matched within 2 weeks.

More pics to come soon.

This looks really good.  For the chrome delete, how is the color match on the white vinyl? It is hard to tell from the pictures and lighting.  Your truck color is Summit White?

Can you share the brand/color used?

It looks better in person, not sure why the pics look like they were taken with a potato.  The match is very close, but just like my last truck (that had factory painted bumpers), it depends on angle and lighting.  I have some friends that are very critical of everything.  They didn’t see the truck until the vinyl and they didn’t notice it wasn’t factory.  Not sure on what color white he used but it’s 3m vinyl.

Has anyone color-matched the tow mirrors yet?  I’m undecided, but I think they would set it off.  Saw a ‘20 Silverado today with them in white, looked good.

That upgrade is high on my list along with color matching the chrome grill bar and hood vent. Thanks for the info.

    • New to this forum.  Also looking to tune a 6L80 and trying to work out all the issues in my transmission swap.  I have a 6.2 diesel (1983) and have removed the TH-400 and about to put in a 6L80 with a TCM-2600 interface and don't have a clue what I doing after that.  Did you (Leatherneck/RAV3) get your slip resolved? I too hate to spend that kind of money on a tuner that hopefully I will not need too many times although from what steelerdude15 added about the HP Tuner being great for diagnostics would be a plus.  I am also from WNC but below you in Columbus.  Any helo would be greatly appreciated.
