Dealership issue

Real sorry that happened to you.  The short answer is, you're going to have to look for other nearby dealers (even consider finding a GMC, they will service your truck) and effectively take your business elsewhere.  You cannot reward bad actors and you're not going to fix them.   Unless the dealership has a hands on, family friendly approach to the service experience you are going to be at the mercy of a chump, who can service your truck but they'll never have the means to buy a new one themselves and will thus never treat it like you would.  They simply do not care.

I had a dealer up here, one day I went for an oil change on my previous 2016 truck and I brought my own WIX HD Oil filter.  They did the oil change and when I was driving home, I could smell something burning in the engine bay.  When I parked my truck on the driveway, several hours later, there was a small couple drops of oil pooled up on the ground.  I checked the drain plug and fill cap, all were tight.  I took it back to the dealership that next morning and told the service rep I had been there the day before, had my oil changed and explained what was happening.

5 minutes later, he came back and said - "this truck was not serviced here yesterday, the oil filter is not one of ours, and there is no record of your visit in the system."   He effectively just called me a liar.  I politely let him know, that I had a printed receipt in the glove box proving that I was there the day before, and I explained that I always bring my own WIX HD filters when I have it serviced.    He then went back to the service bay, and I sat in the waiting room maybe 15 minutes more he came back and said "the Tech had accidently overflowed and spilled oil during the service yesterday, they've now washed the engine bay and everything is good to go."   No apology, nothing.

I went in to fix a recall and a mirror some chick smashed while I was parked.....it was I think my first time at service dept for a dealer ( I just never use them and haven't had too)...first one in Penske in Cerritos and took them forever to get me just a quote (by the time I got quote my truck was already fixed), so after 1 day I contacted Simpson of garden grove.....I have to say they were awesome, my quote was done in couple of minutes....I made an appt....they were right on time with everything and took care of both recalls, my truck was finished exactly when they said it would be and the service rep was courteous, professional, and just super cool......they washed my truck and I will go back for anything in future.....I do my own oil changes and other stuff, but so glad I found a good one right off the bat and close to home....

if your in north orange county Simpson of GG is a good place for service work

and sorry to OP for your woes....I have very little patience for BS and have lil bit of temper on top (and no I am not a bad ass my any stretch, lol), and yeah I would be friggen furious.....and I would do my best to ruin their day and scare off a few customers, lol
