Big Adam Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I was under my truck cleaning it up after a dirty weekend, and noticed that the cab mount bushing under the drivers area is missing. Has anyone ever came across this? It's honestly a little disturbing.
Giantpeaches Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 you are talking about the one that's not the main cab mount bushing. off to a side a bit? I noticed mine is missing too.
Giantpeaches Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Yep, noticed that too but didn't bother taking it to dealer to see if it's supposed to be missing
Giantpeaches Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Though, looking at this, I think it's just not meant to be there? https://www.chevroletonlineparts.com/v-2019-chevrolet-silverado-1500--lt-trail-boss--5-3l-v8-gas/body--body-mounting

The parts schematic list bushing number #1 having both a right and a left.

There is an actual bushing and this one sits just off to the side. that's why I kind of just ignored it since there's one actually there and only driver side has this extra mount which is empty
Raybaby Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 There is not one that sticks out like that on the passenger side
Silverado4x4 Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 Its not missing a bushing, the reason its there its an alignment point when it is assembled at the factory and the cab is dropped on the frame going down the line. 1
Big Adam Posted March 19, 2020 Author Posted March 19, 2020 I just left the dealership. Of the 12 trucks I looked under. All of them had nothing there. So I'm going with..........its normal. Odd but normal.
Scott Garland Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 My 2022 Silverado LTD is missing that same bolt and bushing. I am going to ask my dealer about it when I get my heated seats recall completed. I will post an update.

Scroll up to my reply, your dealer is going to tell you the same thing I posted, its an alignment point for when the cab is dropped onto the fame at the factory. Plus this thread is 3 years old.
