2007 Seirra 1500 SLT Towing Capacity

Recently got a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT from my parent. It is 5.4L engine with a 3.73 gear ratio with HD towing package. I'm not sure what the towing capacity is. Can this tow a 2004 Dutchman. It seems to have a lot of bells and whistles,Will take some time to learn.

Extended cab or crew cab?

 

2WD or 4WD??

 

Here is what I could find on the 5.3 models.

 

2WD extended cab is 8,800lbs and 4X4 is 8,500lbs.

 

 

If you owned a 6.0 Vortec Max truck with the 4.10 rear end it was something like just north of 10,000lbs.

 

 

So can it tow your camper? I have no idea because you didn't provide any information about the camper. Like how long is it, how heavy is it when it's dry and when it's loaded. I've seen numbers that range from 4,000lbs all the way to 7,500+ dry weight.
