Disconnected Wiring Pin... What for?

I was under my truck today and noticed a wiring pin branched out from another harness.  It is on the driver's side on the crossmember plate behind the transfer case.  It has a plastic placeholder for it, but I can't figure out what this would be for?

I appreciate my response isn’t much of an answer but I can say this; I had an electrical issue with my 2016 Silverado in the winter and spent about 15 minutes under it talking to the mechanic while it was on the hoist. I have the exact same connector and asked him about it. Sadly I don’t recall the answer but I can say I didn’t commit it to memory because it was a non-event. Nothing is missing or disconnected, it’s just for something that wasn’t relevant to my model so I didn’t care. So as I say, not an answer but also nothing to fret over.

I can positively identify this as the E85 sensor harness. Your truck is compatible if you add the sensor and adjust the tune a little bit. I just did the conversion a couple of days ago. See CJtunes.com for more info.

Could not have said it better myself, new words to live by in our uncertain times....

Well I'm happy with my Blackbear tune so I guess it'll remain disconnected.  Thanks for the info
