I had my tailgate down on my 2017 Chevrolet Silverado (hauling lumber) and I didn't know to turn off my Park Assist when tailgate is down.  Now when I start my truck the Park Assist will come on and stay on for a little while; then I get the message "Park Assist Blocked see Owners Manual" and it's not working.  There's nothing in the manual to let me know what to do.  Does anyone know how to reset the Park Assist so I can get it working again?

Does pushing the P)))) button below the radio do anything? That's normally how to turn it on/off.

Only time I’ve ever had any messages was when the round sensors were coated in snow and ice , which was pretty dam much all winter ....lol. ?

Thanks for the video JimCost2014 but I have seen that one before.  And Jav_eee that's what I read in the owners manual but it was after the fact.

You are very welcome, sorry it was no help.

Is your truck dirty, sensors in the bumper covered with dirt, ect….was it wet the day you had the tailgate down?

Otherwise, you may have a  bad sensor(s).

By the way..... if your tail gate is not fully closed or damaged... it can & will trigger this warning...

open tail gate & re shut....

seems odd.. but trust me :)
