2020 Silverado LT Trail Boss Red Powder Coated Exhaust Tips Installed

Tonight I installed a set of red powder coated exhaust tips.  The red matches the factory tow hooks on my LT Trail Boss.  These tips are from www.officialpowder.com. They are amazing, top notch quality in the powder coating.  This is totally a DIY install but you just have to be patient and take your time.  It took my about 1.5 - 2 hours.

Very nice!!  Did you pull those off and then get them done?  If so, how do I take mine off?  Can't figure it out.

     Thanks, Jerry

Actually if www.officialpowder.com sells them already powder coated and they are OEM parts.  It is very simple to take off.  You have to remove the corner side step to gain access to the 3 10mm bolts.  Removing the bolts is the hardest part simply because of the lack of space.  If I had to do it again I would go out and but a 10mm watching wrench.

There is a thread on here with detailed instructions on how to remove them also.  I kind of went over it quickly in the video I posted.

Hi, I just looked at the step that you need to pop off to get to the bolts.  I got it off, but can't seem to get in back in flush....What am I missing/

    Thanks

Make sure you are popping in all the clips and aligning them prop

I thought I did, can't get it to lineup correctly. I should have said, only got it 3/4 off, could not remove it fully.  No clue as why.

     Thanks

Ok I had the same problem.  The 3 clips on the bottom are very stubborn.  I had to pull almost to the point where I thought I was going to break it.  When it came off the tabs were bent backwards so I just bent them back to the right position for when I reinstalled it

Ok thanks. I’ll try and pull it all the way off and check the tabs. Then try and reinstall it. Will try that tomorrow.
  Thanks again

You’re right. I had too pull that really hard too get it off. One of the clips broke. I got it back on, Because of the clip being broken it’s as good as it will get.
 Thanks

My middle clip broke on both sides also. But you would never know it once it’s back on and screwed in
