99 5.3L 54k no knock so far

04 Z71 Tahoe 5.3, 2900 miles, no knock

2000 gmc---------no knock--but i cannot seem to keep my foot out of it everytime i drive it--no carbon build up in mine---been hammering down on it for 80000 plus miles so far--------i luv my truck

22k miles, knocks for about 30 seconds at start up all the time, also makes a ticking noise at idle all the time, but "Its Normal"

Usually only when the engine is cold like first thing in the morning and for roughly 10 seconds.

 

Probably started around 80,000 miles.

'01 1500 5.3 @ 55K miles. I've had the knock for at least 10K, but only at cold start-up

Knocking at startup since 8k, it lasts less than 15 seconds and never knocks while driving.

2002 8.1L knocks for 30-45 seconds at start-up all the time. temp has nothing to do with it. it knocks if the truck has been off for 5 minutes on a hot day. at times you would think it is a diesel

 

 

2000 5.3l knocked at cold start-up for 30-45 seconds only. never knocked when warm. sold it with 35k on it. never had a problem
