Hi, 2016 Chevy Silverado  (55,000 miles)

Get a bump from behind/ hard start shift from a stop feeling? ( usually happens if I have to abruptly stop from any speed)

Anyone had luck with a transmission flush/ refill /additive?

Thanks fellas!

I have a 2018-it does the same thing. Not all the time-it's infrequent and unpredictable. I have heard axle wrap, springs, or the torque converter not unlocking in the transmission until you are almost stopped. However-I haven't heard one solution for this.

I going to the dealer for my next oil change, and it's on my list of complaints.

8 speed? I have a 2016 that does the same thing. At 65k now. I'm original owner and has done it since new. Had the tranny flushed at 35k for other reasons. Had no affect on this "feature." Seems to be normal for the 8 speed. A buddy has a 2017 Sierra and has the same complaint.

I have the 6 speed. I'm pretty sure the OP has a 6 speed as well.

Easy fix, lube the slip yoke on the front of the driveshaft where it goes into the transmission.

Pull drive shaft and wipe bearing grease inside the yoke where the splines are (don't put grease on the outside of the yoke just inside on the splines) and put it back in and see if it stops. I've had to do this 1-2 times a year on trucks for the last 20 years and is the only thing I've ever heard someone say "it feels like I got bumped/lightly rear ended".
