Dealer is trying to locate a 6.2 NHT standard box with the tech package for me.  I had ride concerns based on my previous silverado nht and decided to test drive a trail boss with the ranchos (overinflated tires to boot) and an LT with whatever suspension is on it.  Coming from a scatpack widebody i'm used to a nice consistent rumble and shake.  The LT would idle in drive just over 500 rpm with an intermittent drop and the whole truck would shake.  Suspension was complete crap.  Harsh impacts, shudders a slight tendency to bob on uneven bridge sections.  I asked the salesman about it...he said he'd been watching the tach and confessed he'd never felt a 6.2 idle like this.  Drove the trail boss and it was completely smooth....like butter both engine and suspension.

Has anyone here added the trail boss suspension kit to their silverado?  If so what did you pay and did you like the changes?

Part number 84629787 and it includes a "front camera reconfiguration† and an Electronic Power Steering calibration† is included so that all driver-assist systems continue to function seamlessly."

The dealer will not install the Trail Boss lift on an NHT truck if that’s the question.

My 6.2 occasionally idles like that, have not figured out if that is "normal" yet. It is mostly prone to doing it just as i am about to come to a full stop, and yes the NHT will likely have a slightly rougher ride than the other trims as it supposed to have a slightly heavier spring/shock combo

I have a LTZ with the 6.2L engine and noticed the idle low as you stated and it was a bit rough.  After one tank of premium gas it smoothed right out.  Somewhere in the manual it recommends running premium fuel for the 6.2L.  I have been running premium since.  All of the Z71’s use to get Bilstein shocks them GM went to Rancho.  In my opinion Rancho’s are not great shocks.  They are OK but not as good as Bilstein Fox and many of the other options on the market.  I would not advise the GM lift because you are trading for more Rancho shocks.  I am going to go with an aftermarket lift for mine, BDS makes a great 4” and 6” lift bonus is that it is made right here in Michigan, all USA parts.

My last NHT ride quality was weird...front end would bob and float but the rear stayed planted.  I know they had a different rear shock and rear spring but it seemed like I was driving two different trucks at the same time.  re the 6.2.  I asked the salesman if they add gas to them when they get them from the factory and he said no they both had factory gas really low mileage.  Just one idled bad and the other was smooth.
