Most important is all people involved are okay. Vehicles can be replaced, people can't. Keep an eye on yourselves for the next few days and don't hesitate to seek medical attention if things feel weird. You both took quite an impact.

 

Among other things mentioned, have your insurance company subpoena her cell phone records surrounding the accident time. It could be helpful if there is any push back from her side.

It automatic procedure now as all vehicle accidents are investigated for cell phone use at the time of the collision. All part of the investigation.

Can't say this enough times .... WOW !   Very happy to hear you and your family are ok, as well as the other driver.  Your poor truck to a severe  beating, but like everyone said it did a wonderful job protecting you.  Hope the best for you and your daughter on a speedy recovery.   Take care...

just curious- how big is your daughter and was she in a booster seat or a car seat or anything like that? Where was she sitting? I have little ones So I’m curious.
