drl 02 Yukon DRL not working

Hi there so my DRL lights stopped working. It started with one and now both are out..changed the bulbs and no fix..I changed the sockets as they were showing signs of burnt and no fix..checked all fuses and all good. Headlights always on and DRL do not kick in...any help please

If your headlights are always on, first check is the ambient light sensor on dash. It's the common problem

As already suggested, check the little R2D2 looking dome sensor on the top of the dash.

Based on the sensors I see on the dash, there appears to be 2 of them. Do.both have to be replaced ?

It's in the center of the dash, close to the windshield. You'll need to pull the dash top off, which is relatively easy. I'm sure there are Youtube videos showing it
