C3

I've tried to do a search on this forum on the C3- but I keep getting a forum error...What can you tell me about this truck? Did it come with four doors? & what was the rearend gearing?

It was an AWD ext. cab 6.0L.

It's pretty much like the silverado SS is now. Same kind of add-ons (awd, 6.0 v8 and some spruced up interior goodies).

There's a few forum members w/ C3's that could fill you in a bit more. I'm just about to head out the door, but when I get back I'll try to find more info for you.

The C3 was a 2001 model that in 2002 changed it's name to the Sierra Denali. They are very similar to the Chevy SS. The C3 came with 3:73 gears and the Sierra Denali comes with 4:10's. AWD is standard as is a high performance tranny from the Corvette the 4L65E. The engine is a 6.0 with 325 HP and 370 ft lbs and is tuned for 87 octane. That is the big difference between the SS and the C3/SD, the SS is tuned for 93 octane therefor the 345HP. C3's and SD's come loaded with every option available and have a towing rating of 10,000 lbs. The dashboard and interior is very similar to the Caddy Escalade and has a very nice driver information center in the dash plus a 6 disk changer. Wheels are unique 17" with 275-70-17 Michelin's. The brakes are 3/4 ton size with 4 piston calipers on all 4 corners. The frame on these trucks is a 1500 but is different than all others and has a luxury designation. The shocks on the SD are electronically controlled by a switch on the dash smooth ride to firm ride at the push of the button. The SD also has Quadrasteer 4 wheel steering, the only difference between it and the C3.
