2500 HD LT Stereo Speakers?

Good Afternoon,

 

New member here.  Just got my black LT with Z71, All-Star package, and Convenience II package.  I am coming from a 2019 Toyota Tundra Platinum.  The stock stereo in this truck is quite a bit better than the stereo in my Tundra.  However, I am looking to add a little bit better sound.  For right now, I am looking to replace just the front and rear door speakers.  Possibly add an amp later on.  I have always liked JL audio stuff and looking at JL C2-650X speakers.  Anybody done an audio upgrade of any kind on their HD's yet?

I have the kicker under seat sub and it was a huge improvement in my 2020 3500 LT.

I also went further and replaced all 4 door speakers with these JL Audio speakers:

I couldn’t be happier. Very nice bass from the kicker sub and great sound from the other 6 speakers. I haven’t switched out stock speakers on a vehicle since the late 90s and was very impressed with this combo.

Getting my 2021 LT in a week,  havent played with the radio yet, and not a guy thats looking for a system thats booming either.  But am tired of the cheap audio noise.

With that said assuming these are direct fit without mods based on the website.  How hard was it getting the doors off and the dash.

Door and dash removal was not hard. I watched a YouTube video on it beforehand though. Everything was a direct fit. No issues with installation at all.
