I know its a long shot, but sometimes you can learn things on this forum that you can't find in the settings or the manual.

does anyone know if there's a way to prevent so many DIC messages from popping up all the time? Especially the one for the power running boards. I've got them turned off and my truck seems to think this is a major mistake, every time I start the truck I get a DIC warning which I have to clear AND 3 warning chimes...really? I know the running boards are turned off...I turned them off myself! stop warning me every time I drive my truck that they're off!

another one that bugs me is the driver 1 settings, it tells me which driver I am every time, the message stays up for a long time. it wouldn't be so bad if it were just a small banner, but it takes over the whole screen to tell me something I already know. even the auto stop which comes up every startup (thanks to auto stop eliminator) but that one even times out on its own after just a couple of seconds.

does anyone know if anything can be done about this?

in case you're wondering I broke one of my door handles and while I wait for a replacement part I've got the inner door panel on one door removed, with the electrical connector unplugged the truck senses that door as open all the time, as a result the running board on the passenger's side will not retract...that's why I turned them off. There are good reasons to press that button...why does my truck feel the need to visually AND audibly warn me of something I already know?

Mine feels that it's EXTREMELY important that I know I'm low on washer fluid. It gave me the message 3 separate times during my 15 minute drive this morning. :idiot:

Lol mine has done that and my 2013 did the same. Im thinking that if the level goes above the sensor and back below from bumps and angles of on/off ramps and such it will display the low fluid notification again and again. It's so annoying regardless.
