BettyBlue Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 So I'm driving down the road at night in a down pour, or even just a little heavy rain, and I'm trying to figure out if my headlights are working because I can't see the road. It was a long drive in the rain in my 2020 Silverado 2500 HD LT. I get home and start doing research on the headlights. I find out that they have crappy headlights. My 2017 Ram work truck lit up the road beautifully. I'm driving in my new truck not even sure I'm on the road. So my question is - what LED bulb is a great choice and an easy swap? Plug and go would be awesome. Thanks
Keith_Schumaker Posted November 19, 2020 Posted November 19, 2020 I don't have my 2021 3500 yet but I do know that beamtech led replacement bulbs work great for the $30 they cost. The chip is closer to the center so they don't just spread the light everywhere and blind people, they are directed like the original halogens. I have them on my 18 F-350 and they made a world of difference and will have them ordered for my chevy before I leave the dealer lot.
BettyBlue Posted November 20, 2020 Author Posted November 20, 2020 Thanks for your info. I will look into beamtech.
Stand By Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 There is a lengthy thread with a lot of good info and links in the 1500 forum.
Dunn Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 I run a seal light kit made for halogen housing and no compalints....but am sure there are quite a few
