Hey Guys,

I was wondering what size tire (Nitto Terra Grappler G2) would be best to replace the stock  285/45R22  tires on my 2018 LTZ Silverado? I want a more aggressive look, nothing too crazy and I don't want it to rub. I plan on leveling the from 2". Which of these sizes do you guys recommend and would look the best?  LT285/50R22 , LT285/55R22 ,  305/45R22, or the  33x12.50R22LT. Thank you.

He can't go down to a 265's with factory 22's.

Lots of people do 305's. Look up a tire size calculator to give you the best idea of how much larger of a tire you are going with.

305's
They won't rub with a 2" level kit and they look good with 22's

Yes, he could.  Pirelli even makes winter tires in a 265/40R22.  Probably for Land Rovers.

They may make 265's but no matter what the width of the tire is going to be 1in shorter compared to a 285. A 265 is going to have a stretch fit.

Also no major brand makes a 265/50/22 that would equal his stock size. I found some Mickey Thompsons and some off brand tires but nothing from anyone major.

Factory Chevy 22's are 9" wide.  The vast majority of 265 width tires for 22" rims are designed for 9 - 10.5" wide rims, so no, they're not stretch fit.  It turns out Land Rovers have wide rims.  Who'd'a thought?

At the end of the day, if OP is set on the Nittos (which aren't available in 265 width,) 285 would be the best option for snow and gravel roads.  But hey, if traction isn't important, by all means go wider.

There's a reason rally car snow/gravel tires are an inch narrower than tarmac tires.  On loose surfaces, you want a longer contact patch, not a wider one.

Would it be noticeable?  That's up to you.  Will one offer better performance objectively?  Yes.
