A collapsed lifter, happening for a while now on GM's engines, will short stroke a rocker arm creating less stress on a valve spring, not more.

 

Sorry you can google search it yourself to find multiple threads on this site alone for faulty valve springs in 2014 and up model years! Like i said, ongoing issues for years now, clearly another problem they rather allow customers to experience then change a part supplier or actually fix the issue.
