My 2012 Sierra with 141k miles has started to lag and shift hard when it gets above about 4500-5000 rpm. It is starting to concern me. It also downshifts hard going into first while slowing down which I have come to the conclusion happens in a lot of models. If anyone thinks this is/will be an issue please let me know! Thanks!

IF that's the 4L60E in there, you've already broken mileage records for the 3 / 4 clutch pack on '07-up trucks. I'd start saving for a new or rebuilt unit, and just keep driving it until it stops moving. If you replace the accumulator pistons. springs, and o-rings to fix the harsh shifting, something else is bound to fail not too far down the road.

Don't take any road trips with it this summer ...
