Thanks for the update. I'm in the same boat as you. I will wait to see if anything new transpires from the trip to the GM dealer.

The way this add on module was explained to me is the 2021 and 2022 (possibly 2020) require an upgraded radio when choosing the trailer app for TPMS. The radio RPO codes for the trucks with the trailer TPMS is different than the ones without. My 2021 Silverado 3500HD was ordered without the trailer TPMS package and I had wanted to upgrade since the TPMS system that came on my fifth wheel is an absolute dumpster fire. The answer I got from my contact was that part of the approx $400 cost of the trailer TPMS was for the upgraded radio. GM has been changing their electronics architecture regularly so the 2019 might be possible to upgrade by adding the module but for sure the 21 and 22 are not.

I just purchased a 2022 Silverado ZR2 Refresh with 5K miles. I was wondering if it supports trailer tire pressure sensors?

It has the UET Trailer App. It doesn't have the PTT option on the window sticker or the build sheet. I was wondering if PTT is just to add sensors to the truck order?

I looked behind the license plate and there is what appears to be a TPMS module there. Unless it for the truck itself? Other threads have suggested the module behind the license plate is for trailer tire pressure sensors. The trailer app on the Informant screen doesn't show anything for learning trailer tire pressure sensors. I don't have sensors as yet as I wasn't sure if my ZR2 would support them.

I have not connected to my trailer as yet to see if that makes a difference. Its small and only has a 4 pin plug. I ordered a 7 to 4 pin adapter. I only have a 7 pin on the ZR2. The other connections on the bumper with the 7 pin are for the two TRG trailer camera provisions.

I should have the 4 pin adapter in a few days to find out but I thought I would ask here.

I know this has been here awhile, however, I found that on my 19+ Silverado with the Trailer TPMS harness it has only the #3 and #4 pins installed. I have to install power and ground terminals for the module to be seen by the BCM. I've found that this dealer install option has their tech installing these terminals and functions properly once completed. Hope this helps i've added the wiring diagram for anyone who needs it.

I have a 2020 Silverado Z71 LT. I purchased / installed the TPMS sensors and the module, and wired the positive and ground wires. I still only get the "test trailer lights". That's with the trailer hooked up and the TPMS sensor activated using the tool from Amazon. The only thing left is the radio. Does anyone know what the correct part number is for the radio? Or is there something else that I should try first?

I have a 2022 Sierra 1500 AT4 3.0 and it has the module installed behind the license plate from the factory, truck did not come with the extra sensors for a trailer though.

In my trailering app I don’t see anything at all for TPMS.  For those of you that are able to see trailer TPMS do you always have something visible in your trailer app, or only when connected to a trailer that has TPMS installed?

Curious if I added TPMS sensors to my trailer if I would be good to go or not.  I see many appear to need a new radio but it seems odd to me that I would need that if the module is already installed on the truck when it was built.

Anyone have luck adding the TTPMS module?

Yes, i just had to add power and a ground wire. No programming needed bcm recognized it right away. I did buy an OE connector with all 4 wires from Amazon for ease of install. Look at my above post for wiring. And I bought my module using myChevrolet points, it’s only $100 for the module.
Good luck

This post above gives me hope!

I have a 2020 1500 and purchased the module. Got all excited - hooked it up and blam!!!! Got the same old test lights when entering trailer mode. No expanded menuing…. So begs the question. I see the wiring diagram - can’t for the life of me figure where or how to install the extra power or ground. Any pics or extra info on that maybe?

and then - the connector that you got from Amazon. What was that for specifically? Any link to that? Or was that a nice to have not a need to have.

Hoping that this extra wire attempt gets this going for us - am anxious to be a little safer riding the camper and knowing how those wheels are doing!

here is the link to the OE 4 wire pigtail I ordered. Hope this helps. I just placed the missing wires into the original pigtail and color coded them then traced the power line and wired in a ground. I didn’t want to cut any original wires. They just clicked right in.

Success or not making TTPMS work when it wasn't factory installed possibly depends on if the trim level had it as an available option.

Even in 2025 model year TTPMS is not available on all trims.

Trying to add this to my 2021 Silverado, where did you tap in to get the 12volts and ground?

I tracked power to the trailer module above the spare
