Factory Dual Exhaust Question

I have a question for guys with the factory Dual exhaust. I have a single exhaust side option. I don't have the bumper cover cut outs for the factory Dual Exhaust setup. My question is, if you were to remove the offsets at the end of the factory duals, would you be able to clear the bumper? In other words, would you be able to come straight out under the bumper and maybe add tips? I know I would have to fab up new hangers because the factory hangers are on the offsets.

No I don't think so, not without cutting it just before it curves up to the tail pipe outlets and redoing it straight to go under the valance:

Looks like the offsets would need to be reversed to clear under the bumper.
