I had a similar noise for the first 2k miles or so.  It's since gone away and I haven't noticed it in a long time.  Currently at 6k miles on my 2020 z71 ltz, 3.0L duramax.

I have a 2021 Trail boss too has 300 miles  when I turn mine off it makes all sorts of electric actuator noises. Also does yours lose the settings for radio once you turn it off then on again?

Does it occur when rounding a turn at slow speeds, and when the truck is not level (ie, the road is on an angle)?

Do you have the 10 speed tranny?  I hear the same thing.  I have a 2020 AT4 with the 10 speed and when I am come almost to a full stop, like a low speed crawl, I hear it.  I chucked it up to the transmission catching up to gear down.  Mine sounds like its coming from the rear.

Just bought (2 weeks ago) a 2022 Trailboss LTD 6.2L (Still 2021 styling) and I am getting the same sound. I took it to the dealer also and can’t find anything so far. I have to be going about 30mph or higher and slow fairly fast to get to to happen when it warms up. When its cold first thing in the morning it is a little louder. Always seems to be coming from front end area. I took it to the dealer today though to let the sales person and manager hear what I was talking about and when I was leaving their entryway, which is rather steep, I was sitting waiting to exit (nose of truck lower than the back) it made the sound like a ball rolling and bouncing down the tubular frame, gas tank or something. Weirdest sound I’ve heard from a vehicle. Have an endoscope camera and going to look around within different things on the truck this weekend will let you know what I find if anything.

All these people having the bouncing ball sound I bet you have the stillen scoop installed. I had the same issue with my 6.2 LTZ and figured out it was the active shutters interfering with the scoop.  Ended up removing and going back to stock didn’t want to have to modify or remove active shutters. Also noticed when the scoop was on the shutters were always open which I didn’t like as well as making the sound you are explaining.

I will check this out tomorrow. I do have the stilled scoop. It so much sounds like a ball or marble bouncing when coming to a stop. Not at slow speeds though so makes sense possible airflow issues at a higher speed with the active shutters. Don’t know very weird.

So update: couldn’t get back with you all like I wished thanksgiving took up most of my time but I did in fact find the answer to my bouncing ball sound thanks to NICK19LTZ. I took off that Stilen scoop and what ya know no more bouncing ball sound. It makes ever so slight contact on the top shutter. Contacting Stilen now to let them know. Thank You NICK19LTZ that was driving me nuts.
