2011 6.0 oil pressure switch screen missing

Recommended Posts

Do all engines of this age have the oil pressure switch screens? I'm replacing mine and there doesn't seem to be a filter screen under the switch I removed. Figured no big deal, someone had already been in here and just took it out, until I tried to put the new one in that I got. Looks identical to the ones I've seen pictures of but it bottoms out with only a few threads above it for the switch to go back in. Nowhere near enough to allow the switch to seat unless it smashes and pinches the screen in place. Anyone know if some don't get them or if the screen does indeed get "smashed" in place under the sensor as it threads into place? Thx....
