Dealer change tire size

Was about to pull trigger on the pulsar but just can’t justify it at the moment.

 

since my tires are oversized, I am wondering if the dealer would be able to change tire size while they have truck?

 

that was one of the two reasons for pulsar besides dfm delete, but lifter failure in 6.2 doesn’t even seem to be that big of a concern…

Idk, plenty of 6.2s have been reported in the various groups for lifter failure.  Most are 5.3.

 

Dealer can only program to the biggest optional stock sizes which are both 33 inch tires, 275/60R20 and 275/50R22.  So if you had 18" 265/65R18 stock (31.5 inch tire), you can go to either one of those two or get re-programmed to either one of those two to then be correct for a 33 inch tire.    

 

Anything larger, you are on your own.

Unless something with GM has changed, dealers won’t (can’t) reprogram for tire size changes unless you buy a GMPP wheel package that comes with a reprogramming code. 
 

Dealer can’t even reprogram to the largest stock factory tire size without a code from a wheel package. I’ve tried and with four different dealers.
