I have 2012 Silverado 1500 Lt front differential when bad, I bought a used one but it was 3.7 and mine is 3.4 my question is can I change the gear ratio in the 3.7 to 3.4  I change the ring gear and the pinion thank you

I think you would be better off finding a 3.4.

Might be less expensive to change your rear gears to 3.73s, your truck will certainly like it!

That is also a great idea.  It will wake it up some for sure.

He'd have to tune for the gear change, so it becomes less cheap.

Thank you for your advise it is something to think about it, But I do not know to reset the computer to gear change any suggestion will be appreciated. thank you.

you would need to take it to a shop or dealer to get that done.  It all depends on how much time is involved for them on what it would cost.  A shop might give you an idea, as to how much.  A dealer should have a book for how long it will take, and charge roughly according to that suggestion.
