Our 2021 RST will not make outgoing wireless calls.

We have a brand new 2021 Silverado RST. My 3 year old android cell phone will receive wireless incoming calls on the info center but I cannot make outgoing calls wirelessly by pressing the call button on the steering wheel. Outgoing calls can be made when the phone is hardwired to the truck and calls can be made when the phone is 'awake' via wireless but the truck info center will not wake the cell phone up. Calls can be made via the number pad wireless but the voice command on the steering wheel will not talk to the phone. We had a 2013 Silverado and the phone worked perfectly wirelessly with that truck. Any suggestions?

In regards to the push to talk button on the steering wheel... are you pushing and holding?

No. The dealer and the subcontract radio guy said to use only a brief touch. Apparently the truck needs an update to the radio program version but they say it might take up to 8 weeks for this. The paperwork says I need an android version 9, which is already in my 2 1/2 year old phone.

For what it's worth, on my 2020 LT a brief touch works for me, but pressing and holding the button does not.
