I changed rotors and pads with Powerstop kit ive used on every truck ive owned without issues.  I have not even 30k on old pads but they were wearing little uneven I noticed and i was getting wheel wobble bad when i stepped on brakes (before).  Now after, they seem work good, no wobble but the calipers aeem to be clamped too tight all time.  I cant even free spin wheel when jack front up.  I thought it was the pins (they barely give you enough grease) so i removed all 4 used high quality ceramic brake parts lube and only snug them down not too tight.  I was able to spin wheel better and seemed to work but after testing and jack front up I can barely spin the wheel.  Seems the calipers are always clamping too much.   I did not bleed brakes as I didnt open up the fluid system, could that be it?  I am ready to change out the calipers maybe corrosion in by the pistons...

check wheel bearings maybe theyre over torqued. but yeah could be caliper hanging up. I would install a runout dial gauge and check points on rim and backlash on bearings

problem i found with ceramic pads... they dont stop well when cold, they like lots of heat to grip well, but your rotors dont like running at the optimum temp that the pads like to operated at. so the rotors Warp and vibrate overheat calipers.  I would suggest using the old skool dirty metalic pads, you just have to clean the rims more

metalic pads eat up rotors but stop really well cold, and rotors shouldnt warp because they both stay cooler

i'll have to call EBC and see what they offer, i've had success with Green pads but they are very noisey and dirty

Worth noting the recall on vacuum pumps for our trucks any time someone brings up a braking issue.

Problem might be piston binding, you can check around their boot with a pick for a visual. If not then caliper hose and/or brake line. I went through something similar recently, it was all three and then some.

i would just buy a set of fresh calipers,  the vacuum pump is fine, and just a BS fix,  i dont even think its needed if you disable the v4 function, or If you run the transmission in 5th gear ,so that DoD is disabled to confirm this theory.

these trucks have ceramic pads, they're very lazy to bite due to this pad material.  EBC recommend Yellow Pads .  they also have a street pad Green, this has more initial bite over OEM so you get that low effort confidant stops in heavy traffic

I have brand new full Powerstop kit installed (new rotors and pads) done couple weeks ago, pads are for Heavy tow so Ive never had an issue with them.  Its more along the lines of caliper clamping the rotor.  If i back off the pins and re tighten them, i can spin the wheel.  after i test drive and try again, i cant spin wheel.  Its like the pins are keeping the caliper to tight.  I found set of reman Powerstop calipers on RockAuto for $50 each, I guess its good place to start.  DO you really think the hoses could be it?  In the past Ive gotten the braided stainless hoses, they give better feel and braking all together anyways.  I dont think bleeding the system would do anything really.

order new pins, and install new o-rings where the pins slide, use lube when installing orings and on the slide pins.   use a beam torque wrench to tighten to spec. other than that check run out. what else is left?

it takes 500 miles to break in new pads and rotors too.. i would skip the braided lines for now

ok, Powerstop finally sent replacement rotors and front pads.  Got new reman Powerstop calipers as well.  Will do all this hopefully soon.  ANd hopefully the issue will be solved
