Just took a 2022 Denali Limited 6.2L Standard bed out for a test ride.
There seems to be no forum for this vehicle. It appears to be just(!) a 2021 Denali Ultimate hold over until the newer 2022 Ultimate arrives.

I presently have a 2014 LTZ Z71 5.3L standard bed crew. I love it but there are a lot of more modern features now.
Interested in hearing your pros and cons of trading up. Reliability/known issues, etc. plus when the 2022 Ultimate arrives it will be at least another $10,000.
2022 Limited is about $70k

2022 Ultimate is about $80-85k

Is the wait for the Ultimate worth it?

for $85k I might as well drop $110 in the new Escalade, if I had the $$.

With the Ultimate you will  be getting the newer interior, super cruise, newer exterior, more features, and I believe a newer suspension on the Denali. Newer adaptive ride control. Used to be called Magnetic Ride Control

IDK if that is worth $15k more to you or not?

What about a non-Ultimate, post-refresh Denali? Should be in the same range as the Limited you’re looking at. Honestly even the new SLT will be nicer than the current Denali in many ways…I’d say wait and see.

I didn't look up the 2022 Denali LTD 'base' msrp.

Before for 2021 and 2022 LTD, 'ultimate' was an option package on the denali trim.

For refreshed it is a separate trim level -- and has exterior differences compared to the 'regular' denali.

There is a long list of things that are standard on refreshed trucks (all trims) that were optional before, and not even available on some trims.

But GMC  website shows the refreshed:

PRO STARTING AT MSRP: $32,495

SLE STARTING AT MSRP: $43,895

ELEVATIONSTARTING AT MSRP: $45,495

SLT STARTING AT MSRP: $50,895

AT4 STARTING AT MSRP: $60,995

AT4X STARTING AT MSRP: $74,995†

DENALI STARTING AT MSRP: $61,295

DENALI ULTIMATE STARTING AT MSRP: $80,395

The Adaptive Ride Control system is not the same as Magnetic Ride Control, as the two technologies are based on similar principles but are implemented using different suspension and damping technologies. The biggest difference is that Adaptive Ride control does not use magneto-rheological fluid within the damper.

What I was stating is that in the K2 models it was called MagnaRide…..magnetic ride control.  Now it’s new name is Adaptive Ride Control.

Eh.  There's been a couple 2022's leaking in the Facebook groups.  GM's bulletin covers 19-21 yet they still seem to do it.  Lifters, jury is out IMO.

Supercruise is useless to me. Would probably never use it. Gimmick.
the 15” touchscreen is nice. But not $15,000 extra nice.  Wish I had some idea when the new ones are due to arrive here in Massachusetts.
I just heard they haven’t even started making them yet and supercruise is a subscription service?  LOL fugetaboudit

When spending that amount of money just get the vehicle/options you want. Are those features worth the extra $ probably not but if you want them just get it. I always see people try to save when purchasing a vehicle then end up spending more money later trying to upgrade or add accessories.

I have no idea how much the supercruise option is on the regular denali, but there is a lot of stuff that is standard on ultimate that is extra on the regular or not available on the regular denali.

- 12 speaker bose - std on utimate and at4x, not available on at4 or denali, they get a 7 speaker version

- Adaptive cruise

- supercruise

- HUD

- regular get spray-in liner std, ultimate gets carbonpro box

- power steps

- multipro audio (kicker)

- 22's instead of 20's

- wheel locks

- 16 way seat with power massage (not available on regular)

- sunroof

- trailer pressure sensors

- enhanced emergency braking

- 6.2L std on ultimate, 5.3 std on regular, 3.0 L is available on both, L3B is not available on either

And of course the vader grey chrome is only on the ultimate.

So lots more than just supercruise included in the ultimate msrp.

One downside (deal breaker for me) is that ultimate is not available with a 'standard' length box.

All the composite boxes are 'shortbox' size.

It's also not available in 2wd for those that prefer not to have a 4wd.

The order guide shows that for 2022.5, both regular and ultimate versions of Denali get the same z45 suspension.

Z45 Denali Premium Suspension with Adaptive Ride Control

2021 and 2022 Limited have the same rpo code and description.
