My screen died in my 2018 Sierra Reg Cab radio (w/CarPlay)and I need to replace it. Anyone recommend a good replacement that doesn't break the bank?

Thank You!

If you are just looking to replace the screen... there is a member here who just swapped the screen. There's a thread here somewhere. I'll check my bookmarks in a few. I think it was like 100-300 usd.

Do you wanna keep the stock look or are you open to aftermarket? I think that's really where you need to start. I ripped every piece of stock sound system out as quick as I could but that's just the type a guy I am. Just turned 55 this year and I have never been a stock guy since I was 16 years old. There are so many options available these days

wouldn't he loose all the trucks features if he went with Alpine or other brands ?

OnStar , internet , SAt Radio / HD Radio & everything else ?

Not to mention Rear TV functions if he has the R.S.E / Rear Entertainment

TV & Blu-ray player  , Along with the HDMI connection on the rear of the

center console .

most can be retained with the proper wire harnesses. I think there is a gentleman on here that does alot of different harnesses to help. also can go over to crutchfield and check with an advisor, they can answer all your question

You can use iDatalink Maestro RR2 Interface Module. If you go to their site, you can match up your truck to see which current Head units they supports. They pretty much support all the options and then some with that module. I was looking at the Sony XAV-9500ES, which they support, but decided, I'll hold off until my OE head unit dies first.. :D
