2009_Suburban Posted April 15, 2022 Author Posted April 15, 2022 I have just finished putting everything back together, and did a test drive. There are no problems so far. Thank you guys for all your help!
richard wysong Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 Congratulations on having the patience and persistence to tackle the repair. When you first posted I was sure you would take it to a shop but you took the time to ask what you didn't know and learned. That is 1 of the traits of a great mechanic. I'm not sure you saved any $ after buying the tools etc for the job but you made an investment that will last you a lifetime 1
richard wysong Posted April 15, 2022 Posted April 15, 2022 For future reference a failing wheel bearing usually makes a humming noise that changes pitch when you turn 1 way or the other. Often difficult to determine which side is making the noise ,I have replaced the wrong side more than once. they don't always have any play in the wheel.
