Anybody have any info if the 28 gallon tank will fit the standard bed crew cabs. Also does anybody want to swap to a 24 gallon willing to travel a bit if anyone is.

Interested as well. Can’t believe there isn’t a bigger tank aftermarket availabke

seriously, after all this time , still no one makes one. With the crew cab and the 5'ish bed, carrying extra fuel in the bed is also a pain when traveling long distances.

Everything that I have checked on says this is not possible. The fuel tank must be EPA certified because it is an emission control device (evaporative hydro carbons). GM will not go to the expense and time required to certify another fuel tank also weight is a big concern on all pickups (heavier truck = lower MPG). Lots of people are concerned about the Average Fuel Economy on the window sticker. There are also CAFE requirements that are going to become more stringent under the current administration. There is also huge liability for an aftermarket company who would manufacture an aftermarket fuel tank of any capacity (crash, fire, explosion). I would love a bigger fuel tank but it would not be worth the risk IMO.
