2023 Sierra and Silverado

Recommended Posts

I called some dealers today, they said they have no changes coming up for the 2023. I asked if they heard of the new NZ0 diesel they said not sure ?  I asked about the Dark Grey Color off the 2019 -2020 (Dark Sky Metallic )  and or Panoramic roof for 2023, " sorry I do not know "

Anyone have any details ? I think the NZ0 engine is a go,

Not what OP asked for, but also from the Order Guide too for 2023 on the Sierra I noticed this line about the AT4X. Seems like they are hiding a change they don't want out there yet. Just speculation though... There was another prototype seen about with a ZR2 style front. 🤔

Thanks, I thought maybe the V8 would be back in that truck again soon.

I went ahead and ordered the 2.7 turbo after driving it and reading about the MPG's everyone is getting and I think I will love it.

But I am glad it's an option again.....they will sell more of them with it I imagine.

If the regular cab short bed comes in a 5.3 this year i'll order it as soon as the 2023 is available to be ordered.

Reg shorty is still 2.7 only for 2023.

That new 2.7L seems like a pretty sporty engine for the RCSB.  I remember how much I liked my 4.3L V6 RCSB back in 1994 with only ~165 HP and 235 TQ.  I can't image what >300 HP and >420 TQ feels like in a RCSB.  No need for the 5.3L in my opinion.  The only thing I'd miss from the V8 would be the exhaust note.

I am going to have to agree with you, I was not sold on the 2.7 turbo at all....until I went and drove one.

Even the exhaust note, while not being like a V8, isn't the same little whimpy sound I always associate with a 4 cyl.

We were out test driving one and I had to turn around in the middle of the road because a delivery truck was blocking the road and I spun the tires.....I wasn't trying to do that at all....it is a lot quicker than I would have thought....(coming from a V8 only guy in trucks going back to 1990).
