Hi,

I’ve been getting an intermittent p0325 code for knock sensor bank 1. Symptoms are a CEL and rough acceleration/driving at slow speeds when code is active.

Bought the OEM sensor to replace but cannot find any documentation on the 14-18 year Silverado on where exactly it is, and how to swap it.

Two main questions - a) how do I swap the sensor itself?

b) if it is the harness/wiring that plugs into (I read in here that the wiring connects near the vacuum pump which I just had replaced from dealer warranty recently) where exactly is it and how do I test either one of these to know which one is faulty?

When in doubt google images can help sometimes.

The knock sensor holes are above the oil pan on each side, this picture shows the empty bolt hole right next to the dipstick tube. The just bolts to the block, remove the bolt and torque it back down to spec. I don't have that exact spec on hand but I'm sure you can find it or maybe someone here as it.

This is a L83 engine in a swap vehicle, just using it for reference because it's a good photo.

I looked underneath and I think I see it underneath this shield by the engine mount is this it? - I’m wondering if that harness/wire is supposed to be so taught?

The only video I could find on youtube was a guy showing the location of both the driver’s and passenger’s on the 14-18 Tahoe.
