When driving in the winter my center console gets so cold it will freeze my phone on the wireless charger. My dealer tells me there is a vent inside the console to prevent your phone from over heating. Has anyone blocked this vent off or know where it is?

Core-Lokt thank you. I’ll be plugging that vent tube. GM should have a shut off for this for us in the north. Pretty hard to keep coffee warm when you got -30c coming in the console!!

Hey, Just doing some research as my 2020 1500 has this same issues.  Leg/ knee are frozen next to the console cause of the wireless charger cooling.  Did you find a fix for yours?   GM Dealers all tell me this is normal.....

2023 Silverado with same issue of a cold air coming from center console.  There is a cooling tube at the top of the phone charger.  If you lift out the rubber pad you will see it as it is towards the front of the truck.  Kind of a flat oval opening.  Mine was freezing and I just plugged it right there and put the rubber mat back in place.  Cold problem solved.  Suspect I may need to unplug it come summer.
