Temp gauge on cluster steady runs at 210 or slightly over with no load or trailer even in sub zero temps.  Just curious if this is what anyone else is seeing?  Had a bad cylinder head replaced with less than 100 miles so don’t kno if I’m over worrying everything now or if this is normal ….thanks 8C1C5795-5981-4BF1-85AF-45356D5D04BB.thumb.jpeg.7144293d45d1464e22a269a5d6d3ce3e.jpeg

That is typical. The same question was asked before and confirmed by several others that was typical, and my truck is the same.

if nothing is different on the 6.6 compared to the 5.3/6.2 the stock thermostats are 207F.

I run a scan gauge and the trucks gauge always sits at around 210 but the truck actually runs at 198-201 real temp. Sometimes if it’s super cold like below zero it will stay around 192 but if on the road long enough it will max out at that 198-201 range unloaded.

tell us more about this cylinder head debacle if you can. Thanks

Thanks pryme.   Bought the truck brought it home from the dealer back in the fall and ordered a set of steps for it, when I was under the truck installing them I noticed some drips of coolant on the driveshaft so started looking around and noticed it leaking out of the back side of the driver side cylinder head.  Got it replaced and all seems great since .  Was pretty disappointed being a brand new truck but glad I caught it before racking up too many miles on it or causing further issues 23254B06-FF3A-429D-9925-9DC70963E6D2.thumb.jpeg.62b4068d647a0ff6d8fceef352b7f029.jpeg

That’s not good. So it needed a head gasket?
