I was driving to work the other day and, while sitting at a stop light, I smelled some burning plastic and my HVAC Blower suddenly revved up. Now it wont turn off unless I pull the fuse or disconnect the battery. I replaced both the blower motor control resistor and the blower motor. Neither resolved the issue. I am at a loss where to look next. Climate control panel seems to operate normally. Obviously it is a short in a switch or fuse or something. Any ideas what else could have "blown out"(a relay or something)?

Thanks in advance,

Welcome to the Forum! For it to have power when the key is off I would think that the relay is stuck. Was there any sign of melted wires at the resistor plug?
