2022 Silverado 10 speed Transmission Update?

Say GM says you will void your warranty if you park under a roof. You live in an area where hail is very common. Do you leave it under the roof and protect the vehicle or outside and protect the warranty? 

 

It's okay to be your own advocate and do as you please. It affects me not one way or the other. 

 

 

 Working for GM for many years this topic was covered long ago. Also ford had the same thing with the v10 oil specification. Gm declined warranty on two situation that I personal know of and lost in court because of this act. Ford went against Amsoil in the early 2000s over the v10 and it didn’t even make it to court before ford folded because of the this act. If someone was to push the issue then, it is upon the manufacturer to prove this fluid, filter or aftermarket part caused the problem. Further more Amsoil, I don’t know about other companies, will step up and prove that their product didn’t cause the problem. Things may have changed after I’ve left the dealerships I don’t know. I comes down if your willing to push this issue with your truck waiting on and outcome. If you call the dealership they will say we don’t recommend it but they will do it. This is the answer I got from around here from the dealerships. Also feel free to call Amsoil and speak with customer service and see what they say. I have a friend of mine is a service manger at a dealership and he put amsoil in for me. Cost me 165 plus I supplied the fluid. I type this to try to help not to argue.

I have a 2022 silverado 5.3 RST Z71 and transmission started shifting hard from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Took it to the dealer and they said i need a new transmission. Luckily still under warranty. But as per dealer and gm all transmissions are on back order and truck has been sitting in the shop for 3 months and no one can answer any questions as to when my truck will be fix. Im starting to regret switching from ford to Chevy. What can i do to help speed up the process. Ive already opened a claim with gm and they say the same thing as the dealer. Transmission is on back order and there is no eta.

Buckle up and wait.  Or, call the hotline every day to check up on your case and try and get a buyback started.

I think anybody with shuddering problems when coasting on low speeds should contact the dealer. No it is not normal, the truck went to the dealer 4 times now for a TC, valve body and full transmission service, I dropped it off three weeks ago and come to find out the valve body failed again and they're trying to find the part. 22 Silverado with 5.3 L. The truck also have loads of issues including, dash rattles and electrical problems. It's a well maintained truck with and I basically drive like a Grandma. Surprised to find this many problems.
